History of Ganesh Ji ki Aarti:

The origin of the Ganesh Ji ki aarti can be traced back to the ancient Hindu scriptures. According to the legends, once Goddess Parvati created Lord Ganesh using the dirt and dust from her body. She then asked him to guard the entrance of her house while she took a bath. When Lord Shiva, Parvati’s husband, returned home, Lord Ganesh did not recognize him and refused to let him enter. This led to a fierce battle between Lord Ganesh and Lord Shiva, and in the end, Lord Ganesh was beheaded by Lord Shiva. However, realizing his mistake, Lord Shiva brought him back to life by attaching an elephant’s head to his body. Since then, Lord Ganesh has been worshipped as the god of new beginnings and the remover of obstacles.

The Ganesh Ji ki aarti is believed to have been composed in the medieval period by the Maratha saint, Sant Tukaram. The aarti has since become an integral part of the Hindu tradition and is sung in temples and homes all over India.
